Community Guidelines
The standards and expectations that keep the Maple Pixel Zone community safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.
Why We Have Guidelines
Maple Pixel Zone is built on the belief that everyone deserves a safe and enjoyable space for entertainment. Our community guidelines exist to protect that belief and to ensure that every member of our community — whether they have been with us since day one or just discovered us today — can participate with confidence and comfort. These guidelines are not about restricting your experience; they are about preserving the positive, inclusive atmosphere that makes Maple Pixel Zone special.
By using Maple Pixel Zone and participating in our community, you agree to follow these guidelines. They apply to all interactions on our platform, including any community features, feedback submissions, and communications with our team. We ask that you read them carefully and keep them in mind whenever you engage with our platform or fellow community members.
Our Guidelines
1. Respectful Behaviour
Treat every member of the Maple Pixel Zone community with dignity, courtesy, and respect. This means engaging in constructive conversations, acknowledging different viewpoints, and refraining from personal attacks, insults, or condescending language. We are a diverse community with members from every province and territory in Canada, and that diversity is one of our greatest strengths. Whether you agree or disagree with someone, always communicate with kindness and consideration. Remember that there is a real person on the other side of every interaction.
2. Language Standards
All communication within the Maple Pixel Zone community should use appropriate language. Profanity, vulgar expressions, sexually explicit language, and any form of hate speech are strictly prohibited. This includes creative attempts to circumvent language filters using symbols, alternate spellings, or coded language. We welcome both English and French communications, reflecting Canada's bilingual heritage. Keep your language clean, professional, and suitable for a general adult audience at all times.
3. Fair Play
Maple Pixel Zone is a platform for genuine entertainment. Any attempts to manipulate, exploit, or abuse our platform's features, games, or systems are prohibited. This includes using automated tools, bots, scripts, or any other method to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the normal operation of our services. Fair play ensures that every community member has an equal and authentic experience. If you discover a bug or vulnerability, we ask that you report it to our team rather than exploiting it.
4. Privacy & Personal Information
Protecting personal information is paramount in our community. Never share another person's private information without their explicit consent. This includes names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, photos, or any other identifying information. Similarly, be cautious about sharing your own personal details in public community spaces. Maple Pixel Zone will never ask you for sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial details, or passwords. If anyone claiming to represent our platform asks for such information, report it immediately.
5. Reporting Issues
If you witness behaviour that violates these guidelines, or if you experience something that makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, we encourage you to report it promptly. You can report issues by contacting us at hello@maplepixelzone.com or through our Contact page. Please provide as much detail as possible, including what happened, when it occurred, and any relevant context. All reports are treated confidentially, and we will never reveal the identity of someone who files a report. Reporting is not just your right — it is a valuable service to the entire community.
6. Zero Tolerance Policies
Maple Pixel Zone maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for the following behaviours: harassment or bullying of any kind; discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic; threats of violence or intimidation; sharing of illegal content; impersonating other community members or Maple Pixel Zone staff; and any activity that promotes harm to others. Engaging in any of these behaviours will result in immediate and permanent removal from our community with no possibility of reinstatement.
7. Consequences
Violations of these community guidelines are taken seriously and may result in a range of consequences depending on the severity and frequency of the behaviour. Minor first-time violations may result in a warning and an explanation of which guideline was breached. Repeated or more serious violations may lead to temporary restrictions on community participation. Severe violations, particularly those covered by our zero-tolerance policies, will result in permanent removal from the Maple Pixel Zone community. Our moderation team exercises fair judgment in all cases and ensures that consequences are proportionate to the violation.
8. Appeals Process
If you believe a moderation action taken against you was unjust or based on a misunderstanding, you have the right to appeal. To submit an appeal, send a detailed email to hello@maplepixelzone.com with the subject line "Community Guidelines Appeal." In your email, explain the situation from your perspective, provide any relevant context or evidence, and clearly state why you believe the action should be reconsidered. Our team will review all appeals thoroughly and respond within five business days. Please note that appeals for zero-tolerance violations are reviewed but are rarely overturned unless clear evidence of a misunderstanding is provided.
How We Enforce These Guidelines
Our dedicated moderation team monitors the Maple Pixel Zone community to ensure these guidelines are upheld consistently and fairly. We use a combination of automated tools and human review to identify potential violations. When a violation is detected or reported, our team investigates the matter thoroughly before taking any action. We believe in due process and ensure that every community member is treated fairly throughout the enforcement process.
We regularly review and update these guidelines to reflect the evolving needs of our community. Any significant changes will be communicated to our community members in advance. Your feedback on these guidelines is always welcome — if you have suggestions for improvement, please reach out to us at hello@maplepixelzone.com.
